i really dont want to be mean to the amazing ringo
but he wasnt the most talented 1 wen it came to song writing
he only wrote 3 songs while he was with the fab 4
they were
dont pass me by, octopuses garden and act naturally
and this isnt the most smart music
any way it sounds good and thats the idea

Ringo didn't write the song. It was written by the Sherman Brothers, and was originally recorded by Johnny Burnette back in 1960. Ringo covered it simply because he liked the song.
