Locals rescued five people from a stranded truck in floodwater in Ankleshwar town of India's western Gujarat state on Sunday.
The truck got jammed when the driver tried to steer it through an inundated road.
Locals tied ropes to the truck and hauled five people to safety.
[Shyam Sundar, Truck Driver]:
"I asked someone for directions, he told to me take this road, and he also took a lift. Then I asked a motorcyclist and he told me the same thing. But suddenly water began pouring onto the road and flooded it. Because of that, the truck was stranded."
The year's monsoon has caused heavy floods in several parts of northern and western India.
The states of Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat have been hardest hit.
