From the 1971 album "Ain't No Big Thing, But It's Growing"

An excellent early album from this massive soul collective! The album captures the group near the beginning of their career -- when they were sort of a funky soul army, featuring the instrumental talents of The Nite-Liters, the vocal strength of a number of excellent members, and the raw production skills of the great Harvey Fuqua! This album's one of their best-ever -- and it features a great mix of soul and funk, with some sweet cuts, and other nice harder numbers, all done in the warm spirit of the group when they were in their prime. Includes "Honeybee", "Oh What a Feeling", "How Good It Feels", plus groovy covers, like "I Want to Make It With You" and "Never Can Say Goodbye".

  • my bad that song was by the main ingredient. sorry.

  • You got my vote for unsung! I remember the female vocals from when I was about 6 yrs old. I never knew this was new birth. They became one of my fav groups of the seventies when I was a teenager. Hey everybody check out their cut called "walk along the euphrates". A song about africa and the begining of mankind. They really kicked the funk! Best wishes to any group members still living.

  • I love this song! This group needs an episode of UNSUNG!!! Let's get that petition everyone!!! Let's flood TVONE'S website!

  • this is one of my fav. Newbirth song.. always wondered whats her name who's singing.. her voice is amazing.. duz anyone know?

  • It's an Armando Manzanero's song. So beautiful any version

  • It's impossible to find another group to sing like this. BEAUTIFUL

  • @MissPri317 you know it, straight out of the Derby City.:))

  • its impossible to reason with fools

  • If you have Sure Thing by New Birth would you please post.

  • Whats funny is that this group is from my city of Louisville. This city makes some really good music, it just can't get the mainstream push it needs to really be on the map. The clubs here go crazy to local music.
