-She looked at me differently today. Maybe there is hope for us...Beauty and the Beast.

Tale as old as time: boy meets girl, girl meets boy, they fall in love. When I first saw and read about this contest I thought the concept would be fun to try. I've always loved Beauty & the Beast, both the orignal and the Disney adaption. Next to Pocohantas, Belle is my favorite princess thus I had a great time with the idea of Elena as Belle. I tried to be unique with this and I wanted Damon/Elena to become Beauty and the Beast not just symbolize them.
I wanted to show the progression of their relationship through their presumed thoughts, like in a story, hence the quotes. I also wanted to show the growth on Elena's part from being scared of what Damon is, to their dance where she's accepting him. I hope I succeeded :)

Whenever i see Beauty and the Beast I think of Damon and Elena. Elena is obviously the beauty, and Damon is the beast who thinks he doesn't deserve her. These two stories are so alike, it's amazing <3

Every time I hear this song (Even before I saw this video) I saw Elena and Damon. In the book they danced to Sleeping Beauty this is more suitable and more romantic

This song works so perfectly with them two it wont work as much with Stefan. I like in the book Elena and Damon were doing the walts to Sleeping Beauty and I thought Beauty and the Beast would be better.
