melligen had not prepared very well on this fight, due to multiple replacement of his opponent. first was Garcia, replaced with Hernandez a month before the fight, then replaced again with Lujan whose already a veteran and a tough opponent with only 2 weeks before the fight. But still, Melligen showed the heart of being a Filipino fighter. two thumbs up Jason! ur still one of my favorite. that's boxing.

Yeah if you want to be a real broke champ who cant get any big fight and have to call out fighters who are 2 weight class below him to show that his a real champ, go to Maravilla Martinez.

Melligen showed lack of experience on this fight. He was hurt and tired but instead of giving himself some time to recover he decided to trade with Lujan. Melligen has heart but sometimes you have to use your brains as well. For somebody that trains in the Mayweather gym I expected Melligen to be a smarter fighter.
