Lately I've been doing a lot of research on optical flow, motion vectors, and frame interpolation. As part of my experimenting I tried a nifty little morph of two still images similar to the post processing used on Bullet Time footage. Blending between the two poses generates intermediate frames and creates the illusion of an object (in this case, me) translating through 3D space. Pretty cool effect, but kind of creepy.

  • pretty cool

  • JESUS

  • So cool, really goooood job...

  • Pretty amazing! The only give-away that it's not full-motion video is the shadow of his eyeglass frame on his temple; instead of moving as it should, the old shadow fades and a new one forms.

  • That's really cool :-D I'm doing a project at the moment to try and recreate a bullet time type of scene pan using a small number of webcams and interpolating the frames... its difficult, hehe, and you've got something really good going on there :-D

  • What program did ya use to do that if you dont mind me asking.
