It's a shame Collins got a bullet. It should have been De Valera. Why ? Because if you look at de Valera's mad economic policy of the 1930s, it is clear that De Valera knew nothing about economics, and that his hatred of Britain was stronger than his love of Ireland. Collins had a much cooler head. Collins would not have hurt Ireland simply to spite Britain, like De Valera did.

I saw this movie 1st when I was 13. I am now 22 and the film moves me more and more each time I see it. I almost always cry at the end ( I know I'm a sap). But the more I read about Irish history and the Big Fella I get more and more respect and admiration for him. If I could meet anyone in the world it would be him.
