@keplermission I think that's a bit harsh. We do have a car industry, in fact we currently make the same amount of cars in Brittan as we did in the 1970s. The only difference is now all the factories are owned by foreign companies.

Yeah - but this 3500 SD1 was destined to get the Australian P76 Leyland engine and it never happened! Now why does nobody fit one just for the Heck of it? -Cause folks in England just aren't as enthusiastic as some, that's why they don't even have a car industry any more!

4.4 engines aren't exactly common. However 3.9 and 4.6 lumps are and plenty of SD1s have been converted. There's still loads of enthusiasm for the SD1, both standard and modified versions!!
Eventually I'd like to put a bigger engine in my Vitesse (4.6 or 5.0), but first of all I'm sorting everything else so it can handle it.

About the same mate - just a standard 3.5 with twin SUs, K&Ns and stainless exhaust

I must say, great video & exhaust note, but next time you plan to do an acceleration test like that, have a camera in front of the dashboard dials please because I'd love to see an acceleration test!

I was just messing about with my mobile phone - it's wedged under the passenger head rest. Look out for some more footage soon though, with a better camera
