I also remember her saying something like, "I don't have as many hit records as Diana or any of the others..but everytime I come on stage you make me feel like I do" and she thanked all her fans for being there all those years. She is one of the most sincere and genuine artists I've had the pleasure of seeing perform. These women are a different breed, although we have Whitney and Mariah, and of the "newer" breed Beyonce and Alicia, they can learn from true "artists" who've been around for 40ys

That's so true! Just hearing these women perform. Whitney, Mariah, Beyonce and Alicia need to look at them as say. "I hope I sound, look and have energy like that in my 50's and 60's. Not to mention artist in general. But I'm sure most in the younger generation look up to these ladys. All the names mentioned love all the true Divas.

John Stanley does no justice to Patti and is the reason why she is becoming more of a VEGAS act than anything else!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Patti LaBelle. To all of her fans, this is the beginning of the FINAL CURTAIN call for PATTI. I have loved her since I was 11 y/o and I'm now 38 but I know the biz and my baby girl is TIRED. After Bud passed, she has NEVER been the same!

When Bud Ellison was alive, and I've had the pleasure of working with him and Bill Jolly and many, many other Philly talents, Bud coordinated the band and the singers AROUND PATTI!!! SHE IS THE STAR!!! Now, John Stanley sucks as a coordinator and he is only living off of Bud's success . He plays too much, too loud, and he's looking for his own "SHINE" as we say in this biz!

With all due respect, God rest in peace, Budd Ellison would have rolled over in his grave to hear this!!!! Please, true Patti fans, do NOT, act like you don't remember the time when PATTI was killing the R&B world with her stage performances. Bud Ellison was a major part of that and he was a side act to Patti. This, no fault of Patti, is a catastrophe
