Spend less time changing out drill bits with Dewalts XRP Drill. Simply click the chuck into place and it latches on to your drill bits and never lets go. The self-tightening mechanism tightens as you use the drill so youll never have problems with your power drill. For more information, log on to: http://dewalt.com/therealstory
I always thought Dewalt was a high end brand until we bought one of the cordless drills at work. It's got numerous issues - difficult to change between 2nd and 3rd gears, chuck is not very concentric and it gets very hot compared to my cheap Ryobi.
It seems to have adequate power but I was expecting more.

Well, I'll tell you this. I've got a DC925 with the Rohm Supra SK chuck I'm sure you're bragging about in this video, and it has let a bit loose many a time when I've been drilling and screwing. It is quite frustrating. I have an older DC988 that has a Jacobs 700 series on it and not one time ever has it let a bit loose. I have seen complaints about the Rohm chuck not only online, but when I mentioned the problem in my local DeWalt store the guy knew all about bit loss issues with Rohms

The drill was great for the first few months but then many issues arrised. When using the drill with a nut setter bit in reverse the chuck loosens and the bit falls out. Then the speed selector switch doesn't change speeds anymore. It's too bad that the quality of Dewalt tools is going down. Plastic parts and cheap metal just don't cut it for daily use. Go with Milwaukee, it's a way better built tool. Dewalt is nothing more than a Black & Decker.

My heavy duty 14.4 dewalt drill's torque collar got stuck in 'drill' mode-couldn't turn it to save my life. One day it fell off my bench and fell straight down on its screwdriver bit. It was perpendicular to the floor-and bounced up off the ground and ironically to the bottom of my toolbox. Just the phillips bit touched the concrete floor. Literally all of the force went through the chuck and amazingly my drill was fixed! I can now adjust the collar. Man I love my tools when they work!
