I have had the question raised here in my mind like a splinter, or an itch that I couldn't scratch. I have also thought the same as Mr.Harris. Having a religion would be more/less useless as we would be too busy, growing food and figuring out how electricity works. It would become a race as some would begin to work together and leaders would arise I have no doubt the general public would be told that they need to comply or face the wrath of a group or possibly a god they had thought up.
