this is the opera that Beethoven called: the opera that we musicians recognize among ourselves as the highest form of dramatic art.
But it took Callas' Genius to reveal the enormous musical depths of this unrepeatable masterpiece

It sounds as if they changed the key to a lower key. It sounds much lower than earlier recordings.
