Bristol Palin made her highly-anticipated debut on the dance floor during the premiere of the ABC reality talent show ''Dancing With the Stars'' on September 20, 2010. Bristol, the daughter of former Alaska governor and Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, is partnered with professional dancer Mark Ballas on the show. The two are competing, along with a host of other celebrities, for the coveted "mirror ball trophy."

For her first ''Dancing With the Stars'' routine, Bristol Palin actually poked fun at her famous mother - beginning the dance wearing a buttoned up gray "power suit." The 19-year-old single mom quickly let her hair down, ripping off the suit to reveal a short red dress. Palin danced the cha-cha to Three Dog Night's classic tune "Mama Told Me Not to Come," shimmying and shaking her way across the dance floor.

So, how did the routine go over with ''Dancing With the Stars'' judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli? Palin scored a combined 18 out of a possible 30 points for her routine. Judge Len Goodman said her first effort was "perfectly acceptable." Her score put her in the middle of the pack, with other contestants, including Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, scoring 15s on their routines.

How long will Palin last on ''Dancing With the Stars''? That remains to be seen - like her political mom, Bristol's fate may lie in the hands of voters as well.
