  • The first verse starts with, "Break forth.." and, the second verse starts with, "He comes to reconcile...". The lyrics to both verses are as follows:

  • He comes to reconcile all men, and men to God forever: He comes to mend the cords of love, wherever sin does sever. He is the Light upon our way. To bring us to the promised day. This child, God's incarnation, our hope and our salvation.

  • Break forth, O beauteous Heavenly light, and usher in the morning: Ye shepherds, shrink not with afright, but hear the Angel's warning. This child, this little helpless boy, shall be our confidence and joy. The powers of hell over throwing. At last, our Peace bestowing.

  • Verse 2

    He comes a Child, from realms on high,

    He comes the heav'ns adoring;

    He comes to earth to live and die,

    A broken race restoring.

    Although the King of kings is He,

    He comes in deep humility;

    His people to deliver,

    And reign in us forever.

  • break forth o beauteous heavenly light! and usher in the morning. ye shepherds shrink not with affright but hear the angels warning. this child now weak in infancy. our confidence an joy shall ring the power of satin breaking our peace eternal making!
