Turbine Jet Boat Onboard... Riggins Idaho 2011 (Upriver Run)

Jet turbine jetboat clocked at 140 mph on the river. Climb aboard this 1845 horsepowered moster river racing jet boat. These guys dodge rocks and who knows what else during their upriver run towards the finishline. This is racing at its best. The boat is an aluminum hull with a general eletric turbine engine from a bell helicopter.Shot with the Tachyon XC camera. The antenna in the frames was from a HAM radio becon sitting just below the camera.

That would be a Ham Radio (Amateur Radio) APRS transmitter with the antenna. Damn cool boat. Can we see some video of it from outside to see the boat in action flying by?
