Interesting assistant you have there, I never let our cat near my quilting fabrics etc, it would be hard to try and wash a quilt top before the quilt is finished...and I find animal fur is hard to remove anyway as it is so fine...

Old Singers are the BEST! That's all I sew on. Well....my detail machine is a Husquvarna....and my serger is a White...but for straight stitch....old Singers are the way to go. Sorry I don't log on often! Hopefully you've figured out how to thread it by now! As for interfacing....not necessary....just makes the t-shirt materials easier to work with. Will work w/or w/o fusible interfacing. Good luck!

So many flying geese... and so many colors O_O... it turned out great though. I'm a new quilter, and flying geese was the first block i ever made.

( i promise I am not a stalker!)
in the ways of patterns, the one I am wanting to try is the around the world quilt, with a gradiant of orange for a quilt that i want to make my neice (actually 3, orange, purple and a pink quilt)
is that realitively easy?? you think you could make a how to vid for that?

for the babyclothes quilt, is the fusible interfacing really that necessary? or would I ruin it without it? I only bother you with so many questions because I can obviously tell you know what your doing. all help is MADLY appreciated.
do you know anything about singer sewing machines, early like 1922 around? I just got one, and have no clue how to thread it. or oil it or anything. know of any video tutorials if not?

oh lol ok. now that you have described it I HAVE to see it hehe. please humor me.
im hoping mine wont be a disaster. it would make me very sad. BUT I guess I cant mess it up too bad. I am only doing squares, and probably no pattern. as patterns overwhelm me to a degree of panic. the quilt you did (in vid) was awesome, but I dont think I will EVER try one. maybe a 9 patch but even that is way in the future.

Thanks for sharing your creativity. It was a great fun video to watch... huge smile about the cute kitty phots... keep up the good work!
at first i was like... um this shoudl be interesting. because of all the colors, but i thought it turned out great.
I am a very begining quilter. I only have one crib wuilt under my belt, and i sort of got lucky on it. my machine broke and I ended up tying the quilt when finished.
have you ever made a baby clothes quilt? I am taking on that as my next project and wanted to do some kind of semi design (with color scheme[patriotic] not cutting-thats too hard for me now!) Any thoguhts?

My first thought is DON'T DO IT! I did 1. I will never do one again. The mother of the child loved it.....I thought it was hidious. She wouldn't let me cut most of the clothes...which was a nightmare. If you're going to attempt it....cut everything into strips, or squares, or triangles...some shape. I wont even show a pitcure of the quilt disaster I created. As I said...the person that comissioned it LOVED it....I on the other hand...don't really want people to know I made it! Good Luck!

I'm a scrap quilter. so I appreciate how much fun it is to work with all those beautiful quarter yard (whether fat or long). The cat's sweet. Cats *do* love quilts and quilting, don't they?

Can't quilt w/o that guy. He's got a buddy now too....and she's in the way just as much as he is. I need to do a proj. like this again, try and deplete my stash a little bit so I can buy more!
