No, no, what you have there is a big Muskie which has that Pike by the tail. The pike is trying to escape and the muskie is trying to swallow the pike. Normally they swallow head first, but there are exceptions.
I saw this once in MN where a nothern/muskie latched onto a mallard duck from the rear and down he went.
it might have just been looking around or something cuz after a bit it went underwater! and i doubt it came back up cuz the guy woulda had more or a longer vid of it!!
they do that to see which weird guy fishing,no just kidding, i've seen it myself as a fish guide they intent to do that, to get a little air, see a lot of big pike do that in my life time but they never die if that what your sayin but yeah. what i was thinking their just looking at who's fishing in the spot and wants to take a picture of you, and he's thinking theirs a fishermen fishing so watch out boys don't bite that lure its a fake, he's tellin his other buddies to watch out
That fish is sick. Very common for a sick fish to swim topwater. They lose control of their air bladders and can't go deep if they WANTED to. Also, they will gulp air while at the surface and this action only exacerbates the problem. I'm sure it died with 24 hours of this video. I've seen it happen many many times. I've even tried to save a few, but at this point it's almost as if they WANT to die. Really odd actually.
he's like...damn it smells like fish down here...i need some fresh air !

I saw a pickeral doing that not too long ago. It was bobbing a bit, too. It wasn't dying and I believe I caught it a while later; quite healthy.
