Саламандры являются довольно милыми созданиями. Правда я один раз шпокнул одну саламандру, переехав её сажалкой.

I wish i had that species of salamander in my state. The only two salmanders in my state are the tiger salamander and the mudpuppy.

i used to go looking for salamanders when is was 5 and stoped at 8years old becuz i moved and saw them no more O.o

I had a black salamander with yellow spots when I was growing up in Illinois. He got real excited when you gave him a worm! However, we only had him a few days. My mom insisted we keep him in the garage, and about a week after we got him I think the neighbor's cat got into our garage and caught the salamander.

never touch or hold the salamanders because they will absorb the salts in our skin and that can harm the salamander!

Brief handling is OK as long as you have clean hands (no chemicals/bug repellent/sanitizers, etc). I've done presentations with salamanders and they do fine as long as you limit the handling time. Actually, if you handle them too long they will desiccate or overheat before your body salts have any effect on them.

That would be awesome if these occurred in Floyd County. None have been reported from there yet, but they could be there. Keep looking!
