where does the "double locking" part come into effect? sooo, do you use your trem saddles for fine tuning like a floyd? or floyed as you call it.
you could use a pair of vice grips & a piece of metal to create the locking nut as well.
lol

now you will have horrible tuning stability and when you bend notes the other notes will go out of tune.

Awesome video, man. Your playing sounds really good. I could listen to that forever.

can i still press down on my bar or will the screws pull out
-
fail to play jordan

Naw my man, he's talking bout the intonation. Sure you can get it in tune AND have the bridge up, but as you move your way up the neck your notes are gonna be out of tune because, like he said, you shortened the scale length of the string. And from what i hear of you playing jordan at the end, that's exactly what you've done. You're notes up the neck are way outta whack. I kinda want to thin your guitar is just outta tune but you just tuned it in the video before playing it so eh

can you do dive bombs?
-
does it stay in tune when you do dive bombs or whatever?

terminaste demostrando mas tu kill swich en vez de demostrar la mejora de tu puente.... ¬¬

1. Loosen the screws while the strings are still on
2. Loosen so much that you can't press the bridge down and can only pull up with the bar.
3. Tune strings
4. Break strings
5. Put new strings on
6. Don't use whammy bar, use the kill switch
7. Done. You now have a Floyd rose tremolo
hey what's that red switch on your strat?

@handel1111
a killswitch. it basically cuts the sound and puts it back on for a cool effect. look up the song jordan by bucket head. that whole song uses one

@ekalb2185 no, its an american strat body, witgh squier neck. custom pickguard (not custom jsut aftermarket) and american strat neck and middle, and seymore duncan hotrail bridge. sorry my typing sucks, jsut got a new keyboard and am getting used to it

Of course, if you do this, you'll screw up your action (which will now be higher), your intonation (you've effectively shortened the string length between nut and saddle), and your tuning stability will go to hell, but whatever.
The vintage style trem on a Strat was not designed to be lifted that far off the body and won't stay in tune when set up that way. You can do this to a lesser degree (about 1/8th inch off the body) and get decent results (that's the way it was designed to sit).

@emckeresk hate to say it, but if done correclty your wrong.
yes i know, what it seems like. but no. it sill stay perfectly in tune, i have schallers on there, with a fender vintage bridge. i keep it lifted justmaybe 1/2 an inch, maybe a tiny bbit les, just for the high note you cant bend quickley. ive gone through dozens of gigs (in and outdoor) and it stays in tune almost perfectly. nothing out of the normal
