No. She was very clear that she used to think that psudeo-intellectial banter that the poet used was correct and that it made her afraid of the TV for a long time. But then later in life she learned how it actually worked scientifically and that enlightenment took the fear away because she knew for herself that the frilly prose of fart huffing poets are as meaningful as the Sunday funnies in the face of scientific fact. Because people, really, television does not literally hypnotize you.
