This was really cool. There was a headlight seen way off in the distance and Metra wasn't due for about another thirty minutes. Only one thing that can mean - the IAIS is coming! What a classy way to run the SD38-2! IAIS 154 runs long hood forward on the westbound BICB, through New Lenox, IL. on the Metra Rock Island District. ES44AC 507 is second out.

At Joliet, the BICB would meet its counterpart, the CBBI, which was lead by IAIS GP38-2 710, followed by a GEVO. Both trains had the right unit leading.

Filmed on 03/20/09.

  • Yeah, I'd be surprised if he didn't reach Ottawa soon. For all we know, though, he's sitting in Seneca, crewless. :P lol.

Thanks! Yeah, when I saw that headlight appear, I was sure that it wasn't a GEVO. :-D
