after the first two moves, he then needs the top half of the deck from when he is holding the ace of hearts inbetween them, on the bottom so he lets that one slide onto the bottom then puts the other two on top

if you are wondering about the "false cut" he does, just watch the cut again and again and you will see something quite obvious... (he puts them into exactly the same order they were buyt just makes it look like a cut) check it out yourself
