Great vid. Like the use of the airbrush and layering.

@TheOrangecoke Thanks for this help, My abom is almost finished, details and base to do. But i've just uploaded a short video with him in. I took a lot of inspiration from you, take a look. Cheers!

Don't ya just love washes :)

I'll be honest and say that there was a stage in the video where I thought that it had all gone terribly wrong! However, the models turned out lovely when it all came together in the end.

Amazing paintjob!

First time I saw these new minis I didnt know what to think, initial reaction, eww not good. Having seen yours and others looking so gruesome and lifelike, I still don't like them but I do think they are better than my earlier impression, quite hideous and very good at giving off an intimidating feeling.

Excellent figures, you really made them come to death. LOL
One more question please. This video has been really informative. Will help me a lot to paint rotting flesh. I was just hoping you could recall the colour you used for the bulk of the flesh on your abom? Keep these videos coming extremely useful to me.

@sparrox66 Hmmmmm. It has been a while since I painted him, but I think I started off with P3 Ryn Flesh and highlited by adding thrall or bone. Sorry....it's hard to remember to be honest! I do know I did lots of little washes (focused ones, like on certain spots) with purple etc.

Whats the purpose of the floor wax in a wash?
sparrox66 1 month ago
@sparrox66 It basically makes the wash even more "wash-like" in the sense that you get even less of the wash staying on the higher/flat surfaces and more of it going to the deeper areas.

how do the p3 paints compare to the gw ones if you are just hand painting everything?
lolchaos13 1 month ago
@lolchaos13 Pretty comparable I would say. P3 have a feel of their own when painted with regular brush but are generally easy to work with.
