  • does your bike need to be street legal to ride on that rode

  • @iTZZAV3Rage - yes its Historic Rt, 88 Apache Trail AZ, and you need a street legal bike for that road. Thats the Dual Sport advantage. If your bike its not street legal - look up '' Four Peeks '' there is some nice riding there

  • I live in San diego how far is this place from there? takes about 3 hours to get to yuma.

  • @5010246 i think it is by apache junction so how ever far that is

  • @iTZZAV3Rage - yes it is, it is Apache Trail Historic Rt 88. Starts at Apache Junction and gos to roosevelt dam/lake about 47 miles some road and some dirt

  • @5010246 its about 60 miles east of Phoenix AZ, I live in Ohio takes about 42 Hrs for me to get there,,,

  • Bravo !!! Very well done. Standing at the start by the Rosevelt Bridge My fellow AARP/ Geserer riding pal and I noticed the sign that refers to the "no pavement " next 30 or so miles sign and of course our joint reply was: "Were on RENTAL bikes" and we rode on!! Yea one of my alltime favorite motorcycling roads. Don't you agree!! Cheers!

  • Perfect - sunshine and dirt roads from my frozen sanctuary up north

  • @aerie013 Yet another reason to go dual sport and not exclusively dirt bike. Some places say no green sticker. I often see that on fire roads in CA then it turns into a magnificent trail. Beside, who wants to be stuck in a truck? I'll have to give it a go (once I get the bigger tank) ! Thanks for posting!! I'm subscribing.

  • The GVWR of the DRZ 400 S is 740 lbs, Combined weight of the machine, accessories, payload and rider. The bike is about 300 lbs maybe 325 gassed up rider with riding gear 180 lbs to 250 lbs,,, 480 to 600 bike, accessories and rider. About 140 to 260 lbs for payload. (maybe) good for a light wk-end or going motel to motel. works with support vehicle too,,, The DRZ's power is OK and very easy to get more power out of it, a modified Engine has Alot of POWER ! Happy Trails

  • how is the DRZ as an adventure bike?

your video has inspired me to buy on...Is there enough power loaded with gear?

  • '' YOU CAN DO IT ! '' The Dirt Roads are well maintained. The roads are dirt with very little gravel (small stones) this video is fish creek and would be the most Technical part of Apache Trail,,, From Apache Junction past Apache Lake to Torttilla Flats is Good Asphalt (twisties) Turn after Turn. There is a water crossing there,,,This is were most people turn back, if you can get though (depending on water level) the next 30 miles to Roosevelt dam is Dirt. ENJOY !
