That is a nice John Deere

@DIESELDAN74 how big of a disc do you figure that 8770 can pull?
-
get some waylon playing on that stereo, that nashville crap sucks.....lol
-
We traded our jd637 disk for a sunflower, we could never get that 637 to do a nice job of leaving the ground level.

anybody who cuts corn land in straight down the rows aint really cutting corn stalks we always cross cut after harvest no matter the crop unless its tobacco rows like my vid where you cant cross the rows if you can look down and see where the rows were at one time then you didnt cut them lol

Gotta have sat.radio to the good stations....lol

I have learned that if you put a slight angle in to the corn hips that it will wear your blades more evenly than going right down the rows. it makes a big difference. the ones in the middles dont wear at all hardly and the ones on top of the row will wear a bunch. if you go at an angle they wear evenly. we disk ours with a JD 32' 630 in the fall and let them rot through the winter and you hit em once or twice in the spring and they fall apart. they make good organic fertilize too.

Actually the 8770 is 300 engine hp and 259 PTO.How effective is the power bulge out there?

How much hp is the 8770? Growing up in the 80s we used to pull a 21ft disk with a 4440, but yeah it ran at 195-210hp.
