  • are the ceramic filters better than using carbon or activated charcoal , also could i add a spicket and put it on my counter?

  • @stephenzenaida The Doulton Supersterasyl candle filters we sell are ceramic over activated charcoal. The ceramic filters are nice because they can be cleaned over and over. You can add a spigot to the side of your bucket for convenience.

  • Will a ceramic filter take out for example any chemicals that might be in rain water?

  • @Twisted86 The Doulton filters remove pesticides, herbicides, organic solvents, trihalomethanes and Chlorine.

  • does it remove fluoride?

  • @patriotpioneer You need a filter specifically for flouride. Activated alumina cartridges and reverse osmosis membrane filtration systems are the two effective methods for removing fluoride from drinking water

  • Just for a quick observation and a laugh... and thats all it is, is that you say you dont have $200 to spend on a good water filter but yet you have alot of stuff behind you just hanging off walls and hanging out of of cupboards, yet how much did that all cost , lol, Just a lil laugh guys thats all -but loved ya vid man keep em coming, if you have any more lil home made money/life saving devices post em

  • @thiscreepingmalaise use washers also. rubber ones.

  • @thiscreepingmalaise in the middle of the lid of the bottom bucket ...........

  • If you just drill a 1/2 inch hole in the bottom of the top bucket and a 1/2 inch hole in the middle of the bottom bucket you can stick the threaded part of the filter thru both and attach the nut for a secure transfer. Then drill a 3/4 inch hole 1 inch from the bottom and add a spigot. Wah-lah!!

  • @patriotpioneer the black berkey filter removes 99.9% of flouride compared to the white ceramic filters remove only 90%. I think, I searched berkey white filter vs. black filter.
