Just installed this on my Athlon II X4 635, running idle at ~24C, up to about 38C while playing L4D. It's a great cooler!

@GruntyStudios Yeah I installed one of these on a friends computer it has a Phenom II 945 and its OC @ 3.5GHz and its idle at like 28c and load is like 42-43c its a great cooler

I don't like this at all. Crap crap crap. I have reseated it 4 times already and reapplied thermal paste each time (after cleaning it off properly). Still get crap temps. 45-55C idle on a i7 920 at 3.7ghz at 1.282V. Load I have seen in the high 80s and 90s. My friends i7 2600K idles at 33c at 4.3ghz on STOCK cooling and load is low 70s. Different generation, I know, but my temps are still terrible. I use a Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1850RPM at 100% speed. Ambient temp 18c-25c depending on weather.

If your i7920 is getting that hot in less than 2:00 minutes, it must have either too much voltage and the heatsink isn't seated properly.Mine runs idle @ 39 c and loads of 100% never get it any hotter than 72 c.Mine also runs @ 3.80 Ghz.

I'm also @ 1.145 on the CoreVoltage.DO stepping...
