The aim of the yoga is reaching the level of the being. Being is beyond mind. It is above our intellect. There are five parts of the being according to Upanishads. First the physical body, second the pranic body, third the inner chattering or the manomaya, the fourth the deep sleep state or vinyanamaya, the fifth is anandamaya. It is not the outer space which decides, it is the inner space which decides the bliss. We should act from our being which will lead to bliss. This clip is taken from the discourse titled "Yoga for Being" which may be ordered at www.AnandaGalleria.com
Allen Carr, the famous stopping smoking specialist, actually had this same insight about smoking (in this video it is applied to sweets) & he believed it applies to all drugs, even heroin. That is why he famously claimed you can stop smoking without willpower. After all, once you see through the illusion that the 'sweet' is the cause of that good feeling, you don't want it anyway...it would change humanity if we were not under this illusion

I wonder why this talk was flagged as invalid arguments. If one examine closely it is true that pleasure or happiness derived from any object of the 5 senses become dull with enough repetition. Hence happiness based on the 5 sense objects are unstable and impermanent. Where as bliss is not dependent on outer objects such as person ,place, or things, but
rather on pure awareness without mental chattering. Maybe this is not easilly experienced nor understood, that is why it is marked as invalid ?
