The movie referred to WAS Tender Mercies. As far as I know, no real sound track of the movie was ever released. He did sing it after telling his daughter, no, he didn't remember a song about a dove that he sang to her. A real tear jerker of a moment.

I'm still waiting for the original movie version of "Wings of a Dove" where Duvall sings a capella. It's the most beautiful version of the song ever recorded and no one has put it on YouTube yet.
