Nothing new, I'm sure parents in the 1900s thought the same when their kids were sent off en masse to fight in the Great War, same goes for Vietnam. At least we don't have a draft now, for what its worth. Americans are no longer *conscripted* to go to war, many though don't have much of a choice.
