In my effort to quiet my 800 to a level that is low enough for my liking, I added 4 inches to the rear of the stock muffler, and then added the Benz ATV Silencer to it. As can be heard in the video, there is a significant reduction in sound compared to stock. The muffler seems to be just as quiet at moderate speed as it is when its idling.

  • u"ve probably already answered this, but do u feel any loss in power with that exhaust? also, how do ya ike that bike? I'm looking at an 05 sportsman 800, and the price is right, but I've heard some horror stories about melting plastic, loose bolts on the engine, leaking oil, the works, so I'm kind of skeptical now, but I love big quads, and an 800 v-twin for 3 thou looks very good 2 me

  • @daBlade80 Yes, there is a loss of power above 25 mph and above half throttle. The ATV is great, but it is not a V-twin, it's an inline or parallel twin. I haven't had any loose bolts or melting plastic. But the winch failed on me after the first year of snow plowing and the front differential input seal seems to only last about 50 to 75 hours. The repair you can do yourself fairly easily though. Good luck

  • How would that silencer take away from the power output of the machine ?

  • It's great for 1/2 throttle or less. Power drops off big time after that.

  • i've only got 1 question, WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THAT!!!!!!, I shortened my exhaust and it is louder than by wifes CAR!! IT'S SWEET!!! (it's also lifted)

  • I plow snow before everyone in my house wakes up, and sometimes after they all go to sleep. The last thing I want is to wake them up, or the neighbors. So it is on the ATV only in the winter.

  • You got a bit of an exhaust leak up top on the stock can.

  • @daBlade80 i have a polaris sportsman 800 and the only thing that went wrong with it was the plastic on the chasis under the seat broke other than that there a great machine

  • I noticed you don't have a rear bumper on your atv. You should Check out on ebay for two different rear bumper/ brushguard designs from luke200660r created by outlaw fabrications.

  • i have the Kolpin stealth exhaust, Works great jsut like the video. Pluses are not as expensive and no welding :)

  • @daBlade80 my 05 700 twin has a little melted plastic from the mufler. not to bad, and it does have a raddle, idk could be loose bolts on the engine

  • If I attach a silencer thats attached to silencer thats connected with a muffler, will it muffle the exhaust even more? I'd love to own a quadbike and make it creepy whisper-quiet so neighbours, pedestrians and deers won't hear me coming!

  • @ShannCole888 its like putting a plug in your exhaust it cant get the exhaust out the same go stick a cork in your exhaust and it will quit same concept.

  • @sheepdogMSP8117 Agreed 100% its all the people with the cut off and loud exhausts that give ATVers bad names, and pisses people off.

  • i need one for my large scale 49cc engine rc where can i fid this???????
