  • I'm confused as to when/why you read each lead as negative/positive by looking at the graphs you show

  • @Ashleysh2 If you are talking about in an EKG...then all upward deflections are considered positive and vice versa. This orientation is arbitrary to make an EKG easy to use. If you are talking about the 360 view of all the axes...then positive and negative are based on the electrodes placed on the patient when taking the EKG. Does that help?
