After unsoldering the 96 something wires that connect my Hammond T-212's tonewheel generator to the "rest of the organ"... I saw what I had to do... a complete rebuild of everything. So it begins...I start off on the ass end of the TWG...taking the Howard Industries 1800 self-starting synchronous AC motor out (I have very personal experiences with these motors)... and proceeded to document an overhaul. But of course, my mind wanderlusted away whilst in the video editor and this, my friends, is what resulted.

Special thanks for all the music used beginning with the band Fulci *I will pray for your success and that you guys go big.. you deserve it... such wonderfully morbid metal*, Goblin *the Dawn of the Dead theme (L'alba dei morti viventi)... has always been a deeply personal favorite of mine*, The Ultimate Reaper from YouTube for his beautiful rendition of Suigintou's Theme from Rozen Maidens *your bass punch line went perfectly with my blood drips.. hahaha ;)*, and finally to Walter Rizatti, the unspoken for master of SO many wonderful movies and one of the few composers who will ever come close to Fabio Frizzi. Finally... I would like to thank God and my Father... who so tolerantly deal with me and my H.A.S. and who are ALWAYS there for me when no one else is.
Enjoy

  • Looks like you did a good job on the motor i never seen anybody try to scare a motor into being rebuilt but looks like the end result was great, :-)

  • Speaking of the motor I see that it is a Howard Industries Syncronous motor in a standard Nema motor frame. I have never worked on a T-212 before and am surprised to learn that Hammond was not longer making their own motors by this time. The motors were Laurens Hammonds claim to fame. He invented the reluctance syncronous clock motor which was adapted for use in the electric organ he invented.

  • Can you tell me where the grey, yellow black and red wires should be soldered on the organ and capacitor? I could not tell the colors because of video effects. Thanks
