When I first saw Bruce in '84 it was the last of the ten shows at the Meadowlands (before the whores at PNC and Izod took it over) I'll never forget this song. He walked out with the E Street Band for his fourth encore, gave a little thank you talk and then they all turned towards Max on the drums, jumped in the air and they tore into "Born to Run." When the drum opening was finished all the lights in the Arena went on at once and I felt like I had been ripped by my throat out of my seat.
