  • Many different ethnicticities create similar eggs using the same methods, some call it by other names. Polish eggs are called pisanki, sounding the same, but spelled differently... Historically designs on one side of the Carpanian mountains were more floral and on the other side were geometric. If you were to set many of the eggs side by side, the designs are so similar that you wouldn't know from which country they came from.

  • For an educational arts program, you certainly have your facts wrong. Ukrainian pysanka(singular)pysanky(plural) are not Russian. Ukraine is not Russia. This is terrible. It is an insult to Ukrainians that have been making these eggs for centuries.

  • «in russia the winters are so cold, they used the ukrainian eggs and decorated them...» ...quoi l'enfern? this video definitely looks like it was shot in the early 90's, maybe just before the independence of ukraine, but even then, come on, russian and ukrainian are different cultures and different languages,,,merde
