@Iraqveteran8888 im a 15 year old and love collecting old antiques. on top of that i am a gun nut and so i want to start collecting older firearms and i am specifically interested in bolt action rifles of the late 1800's (i love mausers). and i am just gunna say that its incredible that you have reviewed a ton of the ones i am looking at for my first rifle. the M71/78 i am looking at comes with a bayonet and the original cleaning rod.

My kind of guns. Have friend that needs middle band and upper band(nose cap) for Beaumont he's restoring that was in his wife's family and used for hunting in '50's & '60's. Old gun ads showed rifle and ammo was sold in late 1950's by Ye Olde Hunter. Very interesting site, keep it going!

I went back and watched these again. You did an amazing job with this.

Great to see this again, looks like it kicks like a mule

What's the recoil on this compared to a M44 Mosin?

Hey Man, I just subscribed today. Thanks for showing this rifle. Very unique! I have never seen this type before. I also enjoyed the reloading video for this very strange (to me) caliber.

You guys have some of the most interesting and best gun videos on youtube. Please keep it up. I especially like all the quirky military surplus stuff.

Ever try loading these with Black Powder or Trail Boss?

@craftymaggot Not yet, but why bother? These loads shoot so good, I can't imagine improving on it.

What's the trigger like on that rifle? It must be pretty decent.

@spacemanspiff2012 It breaks very clean at around 5 pounds or so.
