pigeons are really smart. the ones at train stations seem to gain social skills. this one obviously rides the train enough to know the sounds of the train stops

The best case of animal hitchhiking I ever saw was a tiny brown subway rat that ran onto a packed westbound train, at Yonge, just as the doors closed. As the train pulled out of the station, I could see panicked passengers trying to jump onto the seats...including several businessmen in suits!
