  • There are differences, but in my opinion you can't compare these two pedals, unless you record them both and then you put the two audio files in a single file. Why? Because the bypass of this pedal is REALLY bad (tone-sucking). If you reversed the order of the two pedals, you might have got different results. In any case, none of the sounds we are listening to here is the real sound of this chorus, as the bypass of the non-active pedal always alters the overall tone.

  • it might help if he actually played something, lol

  • @shredgd You can't have an opinion on what this person is doing. And who is comparing? Where do you see comparison written anywhere? All that is here is "vs" and versus means against. We can ALWAYS compare anything in any situation. The matter her is what this video is about. This video is about two devices against and with each other. Maybe this person is not looking for the same old conventional rules you cling to. Maybe break free of the straight lines and labels they taught you.

  • Does the company still exist?

  • I have both, the Z is bassier and has slighty more of a volume boost when engadged. The Original is slightly clearer and has more of a Flatter EQ Curve, They both sound great ,the EQ is just alittle different on each.

  • @shredgd If the first pedal in the signal chain is switched on, the output signal of that pedal is low impedance. I guess that the following pedal won´t act as a bad tonesucker in that case. So, always the first pedal in the signal chain will "win" this comparison, no matter which one it is.

  • dude, very cool. the sch1 goes a bit deeper and faster...i recently picked up a rocktek chorus from the 80s, and at the fastest, the sch1 is quite similar. good review!

  • play some effing music !

  • I want the EWS mod.

  • I own both models i think both sound great...theres no big difference.

mike landau and scott henderson and many other pros use it ..

it also has a great leslie sound you can hear on thousands of big albums..
