"...They pitched socialism out, they learned that in the early 1620's."
Fuck, these guys tried out and abandoned socialism two hundred years before it existed. Time to pack it up guys, the capitalists have time machines. Either that or they're omnipotent, not sure which is worse.

IDIOT KARL MARX WAS NOT BORN UNTIL 1818

"there were knife fights in cabins" - i'm glad he's planning on researching that some more.

This is how the fall of the Republic begins. Self serving Representatives such as this clown manipulate the less educated, religious nuts, social conservatives and those that are near brain dead into a frenzy to centralize power with those that can pay for it. Meanwhile technical information, jobs and raw resources are out-sourced to maximize corporate profits and the remaining 94% of Americans fight for the remaining 46% of the income produced. Like Rome, our days are numbered

@VJnumber1 Sadly the Republicans are nominating and electing more and more people like Aiken. I swear they won't be happy until they turn America into a Christian theocracy!

@AtSwimTwoBricks I'm trying so hard to picture income tax as being a form of collectivism. But I just don't see that. I'm trying so hard to understand what that statement means. I read that and I was like, no that does not make sense. Checked the dictionary and realized that it definitely does not make sense.

Idiot!

Did this idiot go to school? Socialism didn't exist in the 1600s AND they came here seeking religious freedom.
This is the level of discourse to come with the new congress. Ever spoken to Tea Baggers?
Arrogant idiocy, misplaced loyalty, uninformed mediocrity, half-educated, half-baked, crackpots.
I know that I when I don't understand something, I don't pose as if I do. I say: "How does that work?", or "I'm sorry, I don't follow."
Learning requires humility, a woefully scarce commodity in public and private discourse. We would all be stars, unerring, beacons.

@endisnighe (cont.) You're using big words, man, be careful how you use them. "Compromise to further implement idiotic and ignorant social programs", I don't understand as well. Socialist programs ALWAYS fail? I don't know why you assume I am a socialist, but even in that sentence you're wrong. Social programs: Social Security; Public Education; Medicare; Unemployment Insurance; FDIC; the list goes on and on.
