Grandfather (aka Tall Case) Clock circa 1905-1910. The clock contains an 8-day two-weight mechanism for time and strike functions. The clock chimes once on the half hour and the number of the hour at the top of each hour. The case is made of quartersawn oak with original finish and nice patina. The clock case has motifs in both the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau styles. The clock face is a nice mix of brass and painted numerals with groupings of art nouveau flowers surrounding the numbers. Both glasses are original and the lower glass has nice beveled edges. The maker is unknown, probably English or American. You can hear my 1870 Waterbury 30-hour Ogee clock also strike during this video.
