What is this noise? I think its a bearing, but the car only has 20k pampered orig miles. 1995 impala ss.

  • my 96 was doing the same thing. I relubed the rear end, changed the breaks in the back, adjusted the e-brake. It still made the noice. I drove it one nite to a race, got on it and I lost 1st gear. Just be careful.

  • Believe it or not I changed the addative in the rear end, and did some figure 8's and its fixed, i guess the addative my dad had was old.

  • Check the ebrake shoe inside the rotor... mine kind of sounded like that, easy fix, re-ajust cabe (if nessesary) and greese the area the shoe is resting on
