The Midwest Classic Yo-Yo Contest, the third and final event in the 2011 Triple Crown of YoYo, took place on Saturday, July 16th from 10 AM until 4 PM at Wrigley Square in Millennium Park in Chicago.

Interest in this age-old toy has increased world-wide and some of the finest competitors in the country gathered to test their skill, swap tricks, pick up the latest gear, and compete for more than $2,000 in cash and prizes.

The Triple Crown of YoYo is rapidly becoming known as the top event series in the US contest circuit. World and National Yo-Yo Champions swap tricks with up-and-coming players in an event that showcases the most exciting yo-yo play that you've ever seen!

Millennium Park hosted this yearʼs hopefuls as they competed for the title of Midwest Classic Champion, in hopes of being named the Triple Crown Grand Champion...a title that is only available to the highest-scoring player in all three Triple Crown events: the Bay Area Classic in San Francisco, the East Coast Classic in Boston, and the Midwest Classic in Chicago.
