@dollartwenty Oh yes, I've had this CD for a long time, and this version of "Addio" is unmatched. Every other soprano seems to have to prove how fast they can blast through it, but Leontyne takes it at a pace that preserves the majesty and grief of the aria. I can't listen to this without getting teary eyed. Brava! And thanks for also loving this album!

I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A RECORDING OF THIS BEAUTIFUL ARIA BY MARIA CALLAS....THE BEST IN SO MANY ROLES, AND I AMA SURE IN THIS TOO....A PITY, THOUGH PRICE DOES IT OK !!!!

I have loved this since it first came out on her Puccini Heroines LP decades ago. Thank goodness it's also now on CD and here on Youtube for new generations to fall in love with the greatest soprano America ever produced.
