Fallout: Vault Rats mod gameplay. The character is an adventurer mechanic passionate about energy weapons. What happens when he stumbles upon a gang known as "Tunnel Snakes"... You better watch (play) it yourself! With 11 different endings (you'll probably get no more than 3 for each playthrough, but they will differ depending on what you did in the game and what your character was like), a lot of random placed items, dumb character path, and a lot more.
Notably, this mode is a complete parody on Fallout 3 and Bethesda Softworks. It does contain, however, some other pop and gaming culture references. The Vault Rats mod was made just after the first Fallout 3 development/screenshots have been announced, back in the 2007. On the July 29th the mod was released in its version 1.00, reaching the latest v.1.02 in a few days. The bugs were fixed and the feedback given by the Fallout community of No Mutants Allowed (NMA) was precious for the mod to reach its maturity:

Probably the biggest success of the mod is its famous name, which has been used in Fallout 3, the very game it has been criticising.

He's one of the gaming journalists who attended non-public FO3 demo event, held in July 2007. Then he wrote the favourable article about the game, with no points of criticism or questioning. This is what nowadays may be considered as "corrupt gaming journalism" by experienced gamers' standards. Whether his journalism incompetence or bias towards developer (bribe?) are responsible for this - remains unknown.
