Barbie Girl Quintet

Yes, this is the famous Barbie Girl song played by five guys.

In our orchestra class, our orchestra director had everyone form some kind of ensemble and play a piece of their choice for our semester final exam. We were all supposed to play a classical piece of our choice, but this year, he decided that we can play any song that we wanted to, even a popular tune like this one. If we wanted to play a popular tune, we either had to find an arrangement online or we had to create one ourselves (most of us used the Finale program).

From left to right, our cellists are: Gerald, David, Warren, and James. Our violist is Chase. They used an arrangement that another fellow YouTuber created, and with the arrangement, they added a few of there own things. The arrangement is originally for four cellos, but we added a violist because he's just that cool. ;]

All five musicians are my friends from school. They are all in the Philharmonic Orchestra at Clark High School. Chase is our principal violist and James is our 2nd chair cellist.




There will be several more performances from this orchestra that I will be putting up in the near future, so stay tuned!
