NO WAy! it is a fact that the Deads best years were with Keith Godchaux. Just look at all the Dicks Picks that were pulled from that era. Yes to each there own, but the mid to late 70's is when all their best material was written and the band couldn't be tighter. They didn't have many bad nights in 77', can you say the same for the eighties?
@mkonjhg1 No problem bro we are cool. I know i come across as a snob when it comes to the grateful dead ,but with literally thousands of miles and brain cells that i burnt from 1977 till the end sometimes i take it the wrong way when i these younger people that only caught '90's GD try to say how great the show's with vince welnick were and how the whole scene is so cool.Truth be told the last 5 years of the dead we stayed in our hotel till showtime just to miss all those people. PEACE godbless
@coyote023 You Know After All Of This I Can Say It Was Sad When Brent Was Gone But Still So Many Roads Wouldnt Have Been Made And Much More I Guess, Im Sorry Okay I Dont Like To Fight On Grateful Dead Vids. Its Not LIke Them, Brent Once Says: Touch of Gray) Ya The Song Is Saying WE Will get Bye, Like WE ALL WILL GET THERE AMD SURVIVE! It Really Touches Home. So once Again Im Sorry
@mkonjhg1 ok loser i will give you 5 minutes of my time to explain what a dork you are.First off 1980 until1985 was still real nice.1986 was a wash and when garcia came back in december with a few garcia band shows i was glad i traveled the 3500 miles to catch them and stayed for the new years shows.1987 until brent checked out was still real good. When vince came it was game OVER. Jerry did not even want to be there,he turned his own guitar down in the mix.From'90 till'95 the band was pathetic
