hello, i have the same plane. I have a 480 1020kv brushless and a 40a esc. what prop would be best to use for this and will this combo be good for this plane???

Very cool video. Makes me want to buy one. Thanks for posting!

On E-Flite's website they say this plane is a 6 channel model, but does anyone know if it will work well with 5. I really don't want to spend another $150 for and extra channel.

You got a nice flying field over there. I live in Fort Myers, and theres nor flying fields. On parks with small fields. :(

umm beginner no its a good flyer and all but its too dang nice to get smashed up not to insult on flying skill's but most beginners will crash at some time. and it will be hard to build back together

Great video. Thanks for sharing. I have the same model with the 450 motor. I have an equivalent to the 480 shipping to me. Amazing plane!

Better to start out with a foam plane on your first one. They are a lot tougher than balsa models, which you will really appreciate after a couple of crashes.

Myself and another pilot at my local field have the E-Flite Taylorcraft and absolutly love them...I am useing the 480 1020kv motor with 12x6E prop..40 amp esc..Flight Power 20c 2100mAh Evolite lipo with phenomanal results!
As the owner in the Video commented saying that the wing struts broke in his hand, I would say they are for scale looks instead of functional use. This is model has been built for RC and not a rubber powered model that most struts are functional.
I belive that the E-Flite 480 that delivers 910Kv has the edge if you like swinging slightly larger diameter propellers, however, if you like scale sized propellers and additional Propeller RPMs then, go with the higher Kv motor.
