In Maine, no one tells anyone else how to live. We all share Maine values: fairness, respect for each other, strong and healthy families.
Everyone should be able to marry the person they love.
Here in Maine, together, we can protect equality

It may have lost this time but its not over. Two steps forward one step back. The old conservatives in this country are vanishing slowly and the new generations are much more liberal and rational about this. Its only a matter of time before gay marriage will be legal across the country. I am looking forward to the day.

Right on! Its nice to see someone intelligent comment instead of these bigots. I voted no on one. It was my first time voting.
