You know this is a video about Konoe Fumimaro, the prime minister of Japan during WW2.
He was a pacifist.
He was totally against war with the United States. He did everything in his power to avoid war with the United States and also to pull troops out of China. But he could not overcome the fact that the Militarists had too much power and also swayed the opinion of the Emperor to go to war with the US and expand it's conquest of Asia.

ナレーションは事実と逆転した内容になっている。
盧溝橋事件で「不拡大」の方針だったのは陸軍。
事件を北支事変、そして日中戦争へ拡大したのが近衛文麿だった。
