  • The wrapped coax could also be a 'choke balun', not sure.

  • 20M?

  • @jmecrg The wraps are a coaxial choke i believe...No wraps equals no choking off of stray reactance backdown the feedline which can result in RFI in the form of shocks and/or rf burn and other headaches. If you've ever felt this it makes a few simple wraps of your coax at the antenna end a pretty significant idea.I don't know if i worded that spot on but i think you get the idea.

  • You are the man !

  • I noticed 6 raps of coax on your antenna boom on the diagram that came with a dipole antenna i seen it said to use 8 or 10 raps . what if i use no raps? i`m new at all this . very nice tower by the way very sturdy .

  • could you post the plans and construction materials?

    very good job!

  • shure, it works very well, each element is a full lengh wave... like a cubical quad, it has low angle of radiation (perfect for DX...) no arc spark, less noise, it bring band opening before, and after than a yagui, and for long time...

  • does it work? and what band?

  • Ha! my knees were feeling funny before the top and I used to climb and cut down trees.

    That beam should do well.

  • Great Video!

Thanks for showing us you new antenna

What can I say, you have a very impressive antenna setup there and I hope it yields good results for you.
